While I try to steer clear of politics on this site, preferring to keep my domain as a safe space from the static drone of retards screaming at each other that plagues today’s internet, after this weekend’s two reported mass shootings, common sense says we need to address our country’s current policy on gun control.

But I have a right to bear arms, Pug!
That you do. However, after every (alleged(let’s not go there)) mass shooting, I just cannot stand hearing the two sides argue about gun rights without screaming at the top of my lungs, “Why is it fucking easier to buy a gun than get a drivers license???” Yes. It’s true.
Example A: drunk 19 year old Pug’s neighbor was robbed by a meth head. Did Pug get tips on securing his residence and identify how to improve neighborhood safety? Of course not. Drunk 19 year old Pug drove his unregistered, unlicensed motorcycle to the DMV, transfered his residency to the gun friendly state he was attending a terrible state college in, and walked into a pawnshop and bought a used 12 gauge pistol grip pump action shotgun.

Decision making should be illegal before 25
Now, how you’re able to have a child and buy a gun with no training are the two dumbest things about America. I’ll stay on one soapbox for now, but let’s just say my Netflix for Nuvarings non profit is in the works.

Hopefully accepting donations by 2022
So in summary, I believe we need more thorough back ground checks and that an extensive course similar to that required to concealed carry in Illinois should be required just to own a fucking gun. But wtf is point of adding laws when you aren’t currently enforcing those in place?

Ok, I’ll admit I’m bad at compiling statistics and am more of a gut feeling kind of trader. But, my gut has kept my uneducated ass in business for 10 years and out of serious trouble for 30 years on the planet. What I’ve discovered while religiously reading crime statistics is horrifying. Every time you read about someone in Chicago shooting someone, they have prior weapons charges and are more often than not out on bail for violent crimes and weapons charges for less than fronting $1,000 out of pocket for bail. Often times bail is posted by fair bail charities, or offenders are released on recognizance bonds (that’s $0.00 down.)
My good friends at CWBchicago.com and heyjackass.com

Ok, two sites I admire
do a great job tracking the real crime rates in the city I live in and have me asking, why the fuck do we need more laws if you aren’t even enforcing those in place? So fuck off, and I’ll start listening about giving up some of my rights if you start taking away those of the serial killers roaming my streets that the media ignores because it doesn’t fit their agenda and…

Ok, sorry about that. But don’t piss on me and tell me it’s raining when the Sun Times runs “Its the Guns’ Fault” in regard to the Dayton shooting on the front page when the city of Chicago had 8 killed and 47 wounded this past weekend. What about those people?????

Yea but I’m talking assault weapons
Oh yea sure, no AR-15’s. And any right wing nut will remind you that the second amendment is at root to allow a citizenry to bear arms and rise up against an oppressive government. But it’s supposed to be as a militia. So here, how about this: I agree that full blown automatic banana clip assault weapons are unnecessary for a regular citizen to own. How about if you join your local militia, you can buy one, but it it has to stay at the designated armory and you can’t take it out under any circumstance unless you are officially initiating an open revolt against the government?

Ok fine I’m going to bed. Btw, stock market is shitting all over itself (see prior post)
Oh, and full circle (is that possible if I didn’t begin with this point?) Chicago PD has launched a website that allows its citizenry to follow the status of pending gun offenses. I’ve never blamed the boys in blue for the problem, it’s the State Attorney’s office that I blame. They’ve proven time and again that they’re not trustworthy enough to run the rule of law in this city or state. Why should I agree to give them more laws to pick and choose from to prosecute discriminately?

I’m hoping this site can help expose the hypocrisy of increased gun control. I’m all for decreasing the violence plaguing our nation, but I refuse to agree to adding laws when those in place aren’t even being enforced.
