Matthew Sweet’s Girlfriend is one of those timeless songs which upon first listening you could be told the song came out 40 years ago or 40 days ago and believe it. The riff, sound, subject and voice surpass the confines of time, and I’ll stop sniffing my own farts and simply say this song bangs hard as fuck. Music video is a little too tentacle pornish for me, but to each their own. Enjoy.
